This 1967 Chevrolet Corvette is a black over blue coupe that was refurbished prior to being acquired by its current owner in 2022. It is powered by a 427ci L71 V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission and a rear end with a 4.11:1 ratio. Equipment includes reproduction Turbine 15″ wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, side-exit exhaust pipes, an AM/FM radio, chrome bumpers, and retractable headlights. This C2 is now offered by the seller on behalf of its owner with a CCAS engine stamping certificate, an owner’s manual, an NCRS Shipping Data report, and a clean California title in the owner’s name.
The fiberglass body was delivered from the factory in Marina Blue and has been refinished in black. Exterior equipment includes a curved glass rear window, a blue-striped stinger hood, retractable headlights, chrome split bumperettes, fender vents, a driver-side mirror, and a side-exit exhaust system with heat shields. The front lower panels that house the turn signals have been replaced with 1963/1964-style fiberglass. The seller notes a crack in the paint on the rear deck, a photo of which can be viewed in the gallery.
Reproduction Turbine 15″ bolt-on wheels are mounted with Auburn-Radial-style blueline tires measuring 205/75. The car features a fully independent suspension, with upper and lower control arms at the front and a three-link setup with a transverse leaf spring at the rear. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs.
The cabin features two bucket seats upholstered in blue vinyl as well as color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Amenities include a heater, a vertical push-button AM/FM radio, an analog clock, and lap belts. One of the door panels has scuffs from the window crank.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline, and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, amperage, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 56k miles.
The 427ci L71 V8 is equipped with three two-barrel carburetors and was factory rated at 435 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque.
The engine stamping is shown above. The JE suffix corresponds with a 435-horsepower, 427ci L71 V8 for use with a manual transmission. A CCAS Affirmation certificate is shown in the gallery.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a replacement four-speed manual transmission and a rear end with a 4.11:1 gear ratio.
