Played Miss Yvonne on Pee-wee’s Playhouse

Lynne Marie Stewart, a veteran character actress best known for her roles on Pee-wee’s Playhouse and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, has died at the age of 78.

Originally hailing from Los Angeles, Stewart eventually made her way to Chicago and joined the comedy troupe The Groundlings, where she met future Pee-wee’s Playhouse co-stars Paul Reubens and Phil Hartman. On the show, she portrayed Miss Yvonne, otherwise known as “the most beautiful woman in Puppetland.

Stewart’s other notable role came as Charlie’s mother, Bonnie, on It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, appearing in 18 episodes between 2005 and 2023.

Her credits also included roles in M*A*S*H, Laverne & Shirley, Son of a Beach, and Comedy Bang! Bang!, as well as the film Bridesmaids.
